Asics NOVABLAST launch event

Last Wednesday we were invited to the launch of the asics NOVABLAST. Asics quickly took the opportunity to present us their new running shoe in an innovative way before the cornona virus spread around Germany.

First of all, we got not only seeded with the NOVABLAST itself, but also with high performance running clothes, that were handed to us from a hip NOVABLAST branded wardrobe.

Newly dressed and curious about what would come up, we were introduced to the world of the Japanese running shoe brand with an inspiring kick-off video. Linda van Aken, VP running & apparel EMEA welcomed us, guided us through the vision of asics running and finally introduced us to the shoe itself: "The NOVABLAST is for neutral runners who are looking for a responsive experience. With this innovation we are responding to the wishes of our consumers as the NOVABLAST combines 3 characteristics: it is LIGHT, BOUNCY and FAST".

- LIGHT: The NOVABLAST is significantly lighter than most running shoes: the soft, lightweight jacquard-mesh-upper of the shoe ensures an excellent airflow and keeps your feet cool and fresh during the whole run.
- BOUNCY AND FAST: The FLYTEFOAM BLAST™ midsole foam provides an energetic springback with every step. This creates a "trampoline" effect that pushes you forward. 
- In short: The new NOVABLAST™ performance running shoe gives you a good springback with every step and offers a smooth and easy run.

Afterwards we were able to test the 3 stations ourselves. We started with the FAST station. After a short warm-up we did several speed runs along a 50m long screen, on which video effects 'ran' along with our running steps. The BOUNCY station followed, we went on a bouncy castle to experience the trampoline effect. After recording our personal bouncy-GIF we went on to the LIGHT-room. This was a white, bright room in which we were guided through a lightness-meditation. We literally had the feeling of walking over clouds with the Novablast. 

   

Im summary, we can say that the 3 stations were a really  innovative way to introduce us to the shoe. We are convinced and we will from now on recall NOVABLAST when we think of the combination of LIGHT, BOUNCY AND FAST. We can encourage you to dive into the NOVABLAST world and get your own shoe. Make the slogan of the event "Let's have a blast" your own theme and sweeten up your running in times of Corona.
