Eliud Kipchoge and Nike have been cooperating on-going to improve the Nike Zoom X Vaporfly NEXT% and create the Next Generation of Fast. When Eluid Kipchoge broke the two-hour marathon barrier in Vienna 2019, he was wearing a prototype of the Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%. This extraordinary achievement was years in the making, beginning with Eliud’s effort to break the two-hour marathon barrier in 2017. Eliud’s feat has inspired some of the world’s fastest runners to test their own limits and break their own records. The team of Top4running has been personally inspired by Eliud already last year at the release of the Vaporfly Next %. We can’t wait to follow the shoe steps of Eliud, and be among the first to test this new technology on June 2nd, when it becomes available.
The Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% is loaded with new technology and innovation that includes two ultra-responsive Air Zoom pods in the forefoot and additional ZoomX foam in the heel. Based on Eliud’s insights, Nike designers also combined it’s two most innovative technologies in the shoe, Nike ZoomX foam and VaporWeave material.
