I tested the Asics METAFUJI TRAIL and found that it is a shoe best suited for hard-packed dirt terrain, such as dirt roads and forest paths. It also handles minimal to moderately technical mountain terrain well, and it proves to be a very fast shoe on simple dirt surfaces. However, I consider it to be an unstable shoe. On technical ground, your foot tends to roll easily, which means you need to be very careful to avoid ankle injuries. In short, it is great for running fast on easy terrain, but it requires constant attention when the ground gets rough.
