Drink Mix 160 is based on hydrogel technology. When mixed with water, you get a liquid sports drink with a high concentration of maltodextrin and fructose. The sports drink immediately transforms into a hydrogel in the stomach. The hydrogel allows for smooth passage through the stomach into the intestines, where water, salt, and carbohydrates are absorbed.
